Roman Kaluta is the Director of Interoperability Solutions for Raytheon JPS Communications. He joined JPS in December 2002 following his retirement from the Alexandria Virginia Police Department after twenty-five years of law enforcement service.

Lieutenant Kaluta served full-time as the Project Manager for the National Institute of Justice�s (NIJ) Operational Test Bed in Alexandria, Virginia for communications interoperability. His responsibilities included the testing, evaluation, documentation, and implementation of the JPS ACU-1000 and the NXU-2 VoIP technologies as the communications interoperability solution in the Metropolitan Washington region. He specializes in all applications of our interoperability technologies with particular focus on regional and wide area system integrating LMR and IT infrastructures.

Lieutenant Kaluta is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (188th Session) and the DEA Drug Commander�s Academy. He is a member in good standing of the International Association of Chief�s of Police, the Fraternal Order of Police and the FBI National Academy Associates.
