Carl Kist, president of Raytheon Company's JPS Communications is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company as well as its strategic direction. Kist was appointed as president on August 1, 2005.
Prior to joining JPS Communications, Kist resided in Goleta, California as the CFO for Precision Technologies and Components and Raytheon Vision Systems. He has been employed with Raytheon/Texas Instruments for over 20 years. During his career, he has performed in a wide variety of financial assignments across several business areas.
Prior to joining Raytheon/Texas Instruments, Kist served as a Combat Arms officer in the United States Army. After leaving active duty, Kist continued to serve in the United States Army Reserves and retired at the rank of full Colonel. His last assignment was the commanding officer of a joint service detachment headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
Kist is a graduate of the Command and General Staff Officer's course and the recipient of numerous military awards including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Kist is a former member of the SafeAmerica Foundation's Board of Directors and currently serves on the North Carolina Technology Association's Knowledge Workforce Committee.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Management from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York where he was a distinguished military graduate. He also received a master's degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas.
