NXU-2: Latest Software Upgrade
This page contains instructions for updating the firmware in the NXU-2 to version 3.0 with WAIS support. The link below contains a ZIP file containing the new firmware file and a NXU-2 firmware update program.
This update adds some new features formerly found only in the NXU-2A. These are Connectionless (WAIS) and Multicast Modes, QoS Support, and the ability to designate different VoIP ports for the Server and the Client. See the NXU-2A manual for details on these features.
Note: The Server Port must now be designated on the Client Configuration Page in order for a link to be established. Set to match the Server’s actual VoIP port (usually 1221). A “0” setting will not link.

Warning!
Be sure that the Watchdog Jumper, J3 on the Interconnect Board inside the NXU-2, is not connected across both pins during the update. Otherwise, the unit will reboot during the write-to-EPROM function and the firmware will be corrupted.
Instructions for updating the NXU-2 firmware:
You must have a computer running Windows on the same network as the NXU-2 (same subnet).
1. Download the zip file and save it to a temporary subdirectory or floppy disk.
