ARA-1: Software Upgrade

This page contains instructions for updating the firmware in the ARA-1. The link below points to a ZIP file containing the new firmware.

Instructions for updating the ARA-1 firmware:

1. Download the zip file and save it to your computer.
2. Unzip the file in the zip archive and save it to your computer.
3. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the ARA-1 you wish to update. The ARA-1's Status/Information page should load.
4. Click on the Admininstation link in the upper right of the page.
5. In the Upgrade Firmware field, enter the path to the firmware file that was unzipped from the downloaded zip file. You may also click the "Browse" button to help you locate the file.
6. Click the Upgrade button.
7. Confirm that you wish to upgrade the firmware.

The web browser will upload the the new firmware to the ARA-1, the ARA-1 will validate the file, and then reprogram itself. The process will take approximately three (3) minutes to complete. Any active calls will be disconnected and SIP functionality unavailable during that time. The web page will reload once the process is complete or an error occurs. DO NOT remove power from the unit or otherwise do anything to the unit until the web page reloads. Once the process is complete and the web page reloads, the unit will reboot itself running the new fireware. You can verify that it running the new firmware by click on the Status/Information link in the upper left of the web page.
